Filling The Empty Spaces

Since I landed in the Synthwave scene several years back, I have met some incredible people, one of them is my buddy Josh aka Diamond Ace!

He has a way of creating dream-like melodies and soundscapes that transport you to another dimension. His latest album which just dropped, ‘Empty Spaces’ will leave you feeling anything but empty! No one can quite create the perfect blend of atmospheric airy pads alongside beautiful California guitars, arpeggio baselines and gorgeous synths like Josh can. These songs will paint vivid pictures in your mind and take you away for a while. Imagine travelling through a modern technological metropolis in the ultimate sci-fi experience! Honestly, this album would make an amazing movie soundtrack!

My personal favourite songs are ‘Warriors’ (with vocals from one of my favourite people Lisa Marie Perkins), ‘Too Soon, Pt.2’ and ‘New Dawn’. Josh and I have made several tracks over the years and I was thrilled to lend my vocals to ‘Running’ which also features on the record. In the quite recent past, the classic song ‘Running Up That Hill’ by Kate Bush set the world ablaze for the second time and, was the original inspiration for the song. Initially Josh had planned to remix the original but, when he asked me to write to it the song took on a new vibe altogether. I decided to keep with the theme and add a new twist on things. The lyrics speak to leaving the past behind and embarking on the unknown future.
